Kate Norris

Kate Zora Norris enters her first season as Head Volleyball Coach at Tomball West High School, bringing more than 24 years of coaching experience and over 685 career victories to the Tigers program.
Throughout her career, Norris has built championship-level programs across Texas at the 5A and 6A levels. Her teams have reached the UIL State Tournament at three different schools, including a 6A State Final appearance at Klein High School and a 5A State Semifinal appearance at A&M Consolidated High School. Most recently, she led New Braunfels High School to a 45–6 season, a 16–0 district championship, and a UIL State Semifinal finish.
Earlier in her career at Westwood High School, Norris guided the program to multiple Regional Tournament appearances and established a consistent postseason presence. She began her head coaching career at Fort Bend Bush High School and has built winning cultures at every stop along the way.
Known for developing elite athletes and strong team cultures, Norris has helped more than 130 student-athletes advance to NCAA Division I volleyball. Her programs emphasize discipline, accountability, academic excellence, and a championship mindset.
At Tomball West, Norris is leading the launch of the Tigers volleyball program as the campus opens with freshman and sophomore classes. She is focused on establishing the program’s identity, standards, and competitive culture from day one while preparing the Tigers to compete at a high level in UIL 4A volleyball.
