Ryan Scott

Tomball West is excited to introduce Ryan Scott as the inaugural Head Golf Coach for the Tigers.  Scott brings 17 years of coaching experience and a proven track record of developing student-athletes across multiple sports.

A standout golfer in his own right, Scott was a regional qualifier every year in high school and made an appearance at the state golf tournament. He continued his collegiate career in junior college at Louisburg College in North Carolina, where his team won their conference championship both years and he helped the program to a runner-up finish at the national championship his freshman year and a fourth place finish his sophomore year. During his time there, he graduated magna cum laude while completing two associate’s degrees in business and science and earning multiple academic honors.

Scott later returned to Texas to complete his final two years of collegiate golf at LeTourneau University in Longview, where he earned Academic All-Conference honors and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

In addition to his golf background, Scott brings a diverse coaching résumé that includes having coached football, baseball, softball, and girls’ basketball, along with experience as a head golf coach. He has spent the past six years as the Assistant Golf Coach at Klein Cain High School. Scott’s golf programs throughout his career have produced numerous team and individual district championships, as well as regional tournament appearances, and multiple state tournament qualifiers at both the team and individual levels. During that time, 16 of his golfers advanced to play at the collegiate level, including 5 at the Division I level.

Scott is committed to developing the complete student-athlete—building championship-level golfers, students, and people. His program goes beyond swing mechanics, focusing on developing true competitors through detailed stat tracking, mental performance training, course strategy, and elite short-game development. He also emphasizes strength, speed, and flexibility training to help athletes maximize their potential.

Scott is excited to lead the Tigers golf program and build a culture centered on growth, competition, and excellence both on and off the course, while helping establish “The Gold Standard” at Tomball West High School.

“I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to build the Tomball West golf program from the ground level – I’ve always wanted to build a program from its beginning. My focus is on helping every student-athlete grow as a golfer, a student, and a person. Together, we’ll build a culture of hard work, smart play, and championship-level performance.” — Ryan Scott
Scott has been married to wife, Bethany, for 16 years. Together they have two children – daughter, Riley, and son, Caleb.
